bloom studios

Hi, I’m Tay, born and raised in Southern California. My love for photography began at the age of 2, when my dad placed a disposable camera in my hands in 1995. I was captivated by the way he would shoot with his analog cameras, and something about those moments made the world feel different—like time could be captured and held still.

After my dad passed in 1998, I would find myself sifting through boxes of old film photos he’d taken, each image quietly humming with a kind of unspoken sound. It wasn’t a noise I could hear with my ears, but something deeper—an internal echo that made the past feel alive again. To me, that silent hum is what memories sound like and how it feels to hold a moment in time. It’s the subtle music that nostalgia plays in the background of our lives, letting us feel the past as if it were still here, just out of reach but so beautifully vivid.

Being able to create this internal musical echo for others by seeing themselves happy, in love, growing, excited, achieving goals (blooming) is what makes me want to take photos. My greatest passion in life is being able to capture moments in time in a photo so loud it hums for years to come.
